We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor on a major highways and earthworks package in Rochester.

This is a 6-month contract role offering competitive day rates and an immediate start. You will play a key role in supporting the site team with setting out, quality assurance, and progress reporting on a busy infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for earthworks, drainage, roads, and associated structures

  • Ensuring works are delivered to the correct technical standards

  • Coordinating with site supervisors, subcontractors, and the project team

  • Managing quality assurance, including ITPs and site inspections

  • Maintaining site records, diaries, and as-built information

  • Contributing to health, safety, and environmental compliance on site

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Site Engineer on highways or large-scale civil engineering projects

  • Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, and road construction

  • Proficient with robotic total stations and GPS equipment

  • CSCS card (Engineer), and ideally SSSTS or SMSTS

  • Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline

  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
