CNC Machine Operator
Location: Rochester
Role Overview: Join our team as a CNC Machine Operator, responsible for setting and operating Mori Seiki, Tornado CNC machines, and Citizen L32 machines to meet job specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centers using Fanuc and Mitsubishi systems.
- Perform machine changeovers and manage production runs to meet targets and tolerances.
- Modify and create new programs based on drawings and component needs.
- Ensure components meet dimensions and features as per production drawings.
- Use measurement tools (Vernier, micrometers, height gauges) and record quality and production data.
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to 5S principles.
- Follow health, safety, and quality guidelines.
- Conduct daily machine checks, routine maintenance, and report issues.
- Support and train others in machine operation as needed.
Requirements:
- GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
- Relevant apprenticeship and 3 years of CNC operating/setting experience.
- Knowledge of 5S, manufacturing drawings, and CNC programming (Desirable).
- Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi systems, Mori Seiki, and Tornado machines (Desirable).
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
