Do you have the knowledge and experience to make a real impact in a high-risk environment by promoting best practice and ensuring compliance?
We're working with a global, high-risk manufacturing business to recruit a Health and Safety Manager for their site in Rochester. This is a great opportunity to take the lead on all health and safety matters, playing a key role in driving continuous safety improvements.
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager include:
- Championing a proactive safety culture through positive engagement across the site
- Delivering training and supporting team development on health and safety matters
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with senior leadership to align health and safety strategy with operational goals
- Overseeing risk assessments, supporting incident investigations and ensuring health and safety practices evolve in line with the site's changing operations and priorities
The ideal Health and Safety Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a hands-on health and safety role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a similar industrial setting
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels
