An exciting opportunity for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established food producer based in Rochester, Kent.Location: Rochester, KentSalary: £50,000 + occasional overtimeShifts: 4 on 4 off (Rotating: 07:00–19:00 & 12:00–00:00) Contract: Full-time, PermanentYou’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of cutting-edge machinery including:
  • Flow wrappers
  • Pick and place robotics
  • Size grading equipment
Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement of production equipment performance.Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair production equipment to minimise downtime
  • Use fault-finding techniques to diagnose and rectify issues quickly
  • Liaise with production to coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Maintain parts inventory and order replacements as required
  • Install and commission new machinery
  • Comply with all health and safety standards
  • Engage in ongoing technical development and training
What We’re Looking For
  • Completed electrical apprenticeship (City & Guilds / NVQ L3 / HNC / ONC / 18th Edition)
  • Strong electrical background with solid mechanical skills
  • PLC fault-finding experience
  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Skilled with CMMS and maintenance documentation
  • Strong communication skills (Minimum B2 English)
  • Proactive, safety-conscious, and solutions-focused
