Our client, a renowned company in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a 12-month contract position based in Rochester. The role requires expertise in BAE-Systems engineering and involves working fully onsite. The position is inside IR35 and requires BPSS + SC in-flight security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert systems engineering support within the Defence & Security sector
- Leading project teams and managing system engineering tasks and deliverables
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success
- Developing and implementing robust systems engineering processes and procedures
- Conducting system requirements analysis and producing detailed design specifications
- Overseeing system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Delivering technical reports and presentations to senior management and clients
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience as a systems engineer within the Defence & Security sector
- Proficiency in BAE-Systems engineering methodologies and practices
- Strong understanding of systems integration, verification, and validation processes
- Experience in conducting system requirements analysis and design
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Security clearance (BPSS + SC in-flight) is mandatory
- Ability to work fully onsite in Rochester
