Lead Mechanical Engineer - Power Generation
Location: Damhead Creek
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000

A leading UK power generation company is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to ensure the mechanical integrity, performance, and compliance of its power stations. This key role supports safe, efficient operations and the transition to low-carbon energy.



Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical integrity and statutory compliance of plant equipment

  • Lead planned and reactive maintenance, overhauls, and major projects

  • Manage contracts, suppliers, and OEMs

  • Drive continuous improvement and risk management

  • Support asset strategy and long-term service agreements

  • Travel across UK-based sites as needed



What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering (ideally CCGT or power generation)

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and contract management

  • Excellent leadership and project management skills

  • NEBOSH/IOSH certification (desirable)

  • Full UK Driving Licence
