Trainee Electronics Assembly Technician
Location: Rochester

Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Electronics Assembly Technician to support the production of electronic assemblies. This entry-level role involves working across various assembly processes, learning practical skills, and assisting the team to ensure products are manufactured accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble small-volume surface mount PCBs by hand and operate the reflow oven

  • Manufacture cable assemblies and perform mechanical assembly as required

  • Operate and program the pick-and-place machine for new boards

  • Follow engineering documentation and instructions accurately

  • Liaise with the engineering team regarding production issues

  • Maintain a tidy, safe, and organised workspace

Candidate Requirements:

  • Some experience or interest in electronics assembly

  • Ability to read and follow manufacturing documents and instructions

  • Comfortable using PCs and basic software applications

  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Keen to learn and develop practical electronics and assembly skills

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility within standard opening hours (08:00-17:30).

Eligibility: Candidates must already have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
