Are you looking for a full-time, long-term role in a truly inspiring and inclusive SEND school?
Supply Desk are working closely with a fantastic specialist school in Medway that caters for students with a range of special educational needs, with a particular focus on ASD. The school supports children across both primary and secondary age groups, providing a nurturing, structured, and highly personalised learning environment.
They are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. For the right person, this role offers the opportunity to go permanent.
About the Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Autism and associated learning needs
- Assist in delivering tailored learning activities that meet each student’s individual goals
- Help create a calm, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent support for every student
- Support students with communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Contribute to personalised learning plans and behaviour support strategies
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday – term-time only
- Based in Medway

- Experience working with children or young people with ASD or similar needs (in schools, care, or community settings)
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
