We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one academic and emotional support to children in their homes across Medway.



About the Role

As a Home-Based SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Deliver tailored academic support (English, Maths, and functional skills) to children unable to attend school.

  • Work closely with parents, carers, and educational professionals to create engaging, individualised learning plans.

  • Support children with a range of needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, communication difficulties).

  • Promote confidence, independence, and positive learning experiences in a nurturing home environment.



About You

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools, tutoring, or care settings).

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to learning.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).

  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Access to your own transport to travel between home placements in Medway.
