We are a welcoming, forward-thinking mainstream primary school in Rochester, Kent, seeking a part-time SENCO to join our supportive team.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to lead and champion inclusion across our school. Working closely with staff, families, and external agencies, you will ensure that every child with SEND receives the support they need to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the strategic development of the school's SEND provision
  • Coordinating and monitoring support for pupils with SEND
  • Working collaboratively with teachers to create inclusive learning opportunities
  • Leading on EHCP applications, reviews, and liaising with outside professionals
  • Supporting staff through CPD and coaching
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements

The ideal candidate must have/be:

  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is working towards it)
  • Has proven experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Communicates confidently and builds strong relationships
  • Is organised, proactive, and committed to inclusive education
  • Brings warmth, professionalism, and a child-centred approach to every aspect of the role
