We are seeking a dynamic and driven Electrical and Renewables Operations Manager to lead and expand our electrical department. This is a pivotal role with responsibility for managing electricians, managing projects from conception to completion, and driving the division's business growth. You will be instrumental in recruiting and managing electricians, overseeing tendered projects, pricing smaller works, and ensuring the successful delivery of all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects from initial enquiry through to client handover.
  • Identify and target new clients to secure ongoing work.
  • Oversee a variety of projects across Domestic and Commercial sectors.
  • Support office with job-related queries.
  • Support engineers, including conducting performance appraisals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships.
  • Survey and price smaller projects, often working with limited information.
  • Produce necessary project documentation such as RAMS and policy documentation.
  • Recruit, build, and manage a team of engineers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain control over project costs, margins, and profitability.
  • Work towards and achieve monthly financial targets.
  • Uphold quality control and ensure Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to your role with support from the office team.

  • Highly motivated with a strong eye for detail.
  • Commercially aware and financially focused, with a commitment to hitting targets.
  • Flexible, with a willingness to work longer hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Happy to travel to project sites (typically within 1.5 hours' distance), sometimes outside regular working hours.
  • Supportive and willing to take on projects of any size and complexity.

Requirements:

  • Electrical and renewables awareness and knowledge with proven project management and leadership experience.
  • Ambitious and proactive, able to think creatively and solve problems.
  • Ready to grow their career by leading and expanding a division within a supportive environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
