Job Title: Multi Trade OperativeLocation: RomfordSalary: £19.32 per hour PAYE / £24.24 UmbrellaContract Type: Temporary Ongoing, 40 hours per week
About the Role:We are seeking a skilled and versatile Multi Trade Operative to join the responsive maintenance team for a large Housing Association. You will carry out a variety of repairs, void works, and property MOTs across multiple trades, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs across primary and secondary trades
- Accurately record work using a PDA system
- Manage and replenish stock and materials
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Deliver first-time fixes and meet scheduled appointments
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
- Supervise apprentices when required
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a core trade desirable but not required
- Proven experience in building maintenance and multi-trade work
- Valid CSCS card and full UK driving licence
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and customer service
- Full, clean driving license (maximum 3 points)
- Own tools must be provided
