This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and highly accomplished French teacher looking to further their career within a high-achieving and forward-thinking all-girls school in the vibrant borough of Havering, London. As our Part-Time Teacher of French (0.6 FTE), joining us in September 2025, with a significant leadership role in A-Level French, you will:
- Lead Curriculum Enhancement: Take a prominent role in the delivery and continuous enhancement of the French curriculum across all key stages, inspiring high-achieving students, particularly at Key Stage 5, to reach their full academic potential and fostering a school-wide appreciation for linguistic rigour and cultural insight.
- Drive Pedagogical Excellence: Have the opportunity to implement and champion innovative teaching methodologies, leverage cutting-edge language learning technologies, and explore advanced French linguistic and cultural topics relevant to university-level study and global careers, with a clear focus on the demands of A-Level.
- Mentor and Champion Talent: Act as a role model and mentor for students with a deep aptitude for French, fostering their aspirations for further study at top universities and careers in international relations, translation, business, or the arts, actively guiding our A-Level students towards academic distinction.

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified French teacher with QTS and a proven track record of outstanding results across all key stages. Experience in leading curriculum development, developing challenging resources, and fostering high-achieving student cohorts is highly desirable, with a comprehensive understanding of the A-Level French specification being essential. You will possess a profound understanding of French language and culture, exceptional pedagogical skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge students of all abilities, with a particular focus on the demands of Key Stage 5.
