We are seeking a qualified SEND Lecturer to join our team on a contract basis, with the potential for long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have extensive experience in delivering educational support to SEND students from Entry Level 1 to Level 1.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan and deliver educational sessions tailored to SEND students, ensuring that each session meets their individual needs and learning goals.
- Utilise RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement) in setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) targets for students.
- Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and ensure all teaching strategies are compliant with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).
- Conduct administrative duties including planning and preparation from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and handling post-teaching tasks from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Engage in team meetings and training sessions every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Finish teaching sessions by 3:30 PM on Fridays, ensuring a well-structured week for optimal student engagement and learning.
- Must be a qualified teacher with one of the following: PGCE, QTS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training.
- Proven knowledge and experience in delivering RARPA and setting SMART targets.
- Strong understanding of EHCP and ILPs.
- Experience in teaching SEND students ranging from E1 to L1.
- Desirable: Experience working in a Further Education (FE) College or educational establishment.
