Litigation solicitor required for our long-standing Romford based legal client who pride themselves on their strong loyal client based. As litigation solicitor you will be providing support to their Litigation Solicitor, and Head of Department but they will also expect you to have some level of autonomy within the caseload according to experience areas. Their aim is to recruit a 3 years minimum PQE litigation solicitor who will share their core values in providing excellent customer care and have the drive to pursue the career further into becoming a head of department and director.

The Role

  • Assisting with a varied caseload of general civil litigation to include, breach of contract, landlord and tenant, contested probate, building disputes, eviction and debt recovery matters.
  • Co-ordinate with counsel and clients
  • Preparing of court documents for trial and hearings
  • Working alongside Litigation Solicitor, and Head of Department, in assisting them with a varied caseload of general civil litigation.
  • Drafting of legal documents
  • Updating LEAP case management system
  • Client facing involved in the caseload.
  • Handling own caseloads with minimal supervision

The Person

  • Essential to possess at least 3 years PQE in general litigation
  • Proven ability to manage complex cases with minimal supervision.
  • Advocacy experience preferable
  • Must be within 30 mile radius of office
  • Experience in assisting with matters on behalf of commercial and individual clients on a wide range of litigation matters to include landlord and tenant, breach of contract claims, debt recovery, insolvency and commercial litigation
  • Experience with LEAP case management and Bundlepro preferable.
  • Clear demonstrable ability and keenness to build and maintain client and referrer relationships
  • Knowledge of court procedures
