About Us:

We are working with a thriving primary school in Romford, Essex. The school places great emphasis on engaging and purposeful learning. The school is looking for a SEND TA to support a group of pupils within a resource provision. As a SEND TA, you will be required to provide both 1:1 and group support. If you have high expectations and aspirations for the achievement of every child, please read on.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support groups of pupils in English, Maths and Phonics.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis as required.
  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a Primary School
  • Knowledge: Understanding of supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs
  • Desirable: Experience working with SEN children
