This role will be predominantly focused on A-Level teaching.
About the Role: As our Permanent Teacher of KS5 Biology, you will play a crucial role in guiding our Sixth Form students through the complexities of the living world. You will deliver engaging and in-depth lessons at A-Level, fostering critical thinking, investigative skills, and a deep understanding of biological principles. You will inspire the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated Biology lessons primarily at A-Level.
- Cultivate a positive and intellectually stimulating learning environment for advanced Biology students.
- Develop and share high-quality teaching resources and contribute to the KS5 Biology curriculum.
- Track student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and support UCAS applications for Biology-related courses.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and the wider school community.
- Potentially contribute to extracurricular activities that promote an interest in Biology.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong degree in Biology or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully teaching Biology at A-Level is essential.
- A deep and up-to-date knowledge of the A-Level Biology specification and assessment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, particularly with Sixth Form students.
