About the School

This school provides a comprehensive curriculum for students aged 11-18, encompassing Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including GCSEs and A-levels. Renowned for its strong academic record and high student achievement, the curriculum prepares students for a variety of pathways after graduation, whether it's further education, employment, or vocational training.

Responsibilities

  • Empower students with SEN to access and thrive within the curriculum by providing tailored support, both individually and in small groups.
  • Tailor teaching materials to individual learning styles and needs.
  • Supporting the classroom teacher in managing a positive and engaging learning environment, enabling full participation for students with SEN.
  • Skillfully manage challenging behaviours using approved strategies and a calm, consistent demeanour.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of one year's experience working with SEN students in a UK school setting
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one through Randstad
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Ability to manage time effectively, keep records, and support lesson planning and delivery as needed.
  • Experience with students with learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, or other special educational needs is highly desirable
