About the Role
As the Junior Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing existing equipment, ensuring the workshop area is well-organized, and providing technical support to the project teams. Your key duties will include:
- Maintaining and repairing jigs, fixtures, and in-house manufacturing equipment
- Assisting in the design, manufacture, and support of bespoke equipment for battery projects
- Troubleshooting and resolving engineering and electronics problems
- Liaising with contract manufacturers and fabricators
- Documenting tasks and processes using Smartsheets
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this Junior Engineering Technician role will have:
- Minimum qualification level of HND in a relevant field
- Experience in prototyping, design for manufacture, and equipment maintenance
- Basic electronics knowledge, including populating PCB boards
- Familiarity with repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
