Description

We are seeking awood machine operative to join our clients team in the luxury furniture industry. As a wood machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality furniture pieces. From cutting and shaping wood materials to operating various machinery.

With attention to detail and precision, you will ensure that all woodwork adheres to the specifications provided by designers and meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. Collaborating closely with the production team, you will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and turning raw materials into refined furniture components. Your will be utilising machinery, such as planers, edge banders, and routers, will be essential in producing pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound.

Responsibilities

  • Operate woodworking machinery and tools to cut, shape, and smooth wood materials
  • Measure and mark wood for accurate cutting and shaping
  • Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area

Requirements

  • Some experience as a wood machinist or similar role in the wood/ furniture industry
  • Ideally experience in working with various woodworking machinery and tools
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in woodworking tasks
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
