Are you a finance professional with a passion for projects and performance? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to join a high-impact team. This role is central to ensuring the financial integrity and commercial success of complex, high-value projects that have real-world significance.
What you'll be doing:
- Ensure projects are financially sound, with accurate tracking of income, costs, and profitability
- Deliver key insights into customer profitability and margin performance
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency
- Provide financial analysis to support and challenge programme office decisions
- Set, monitor, and report on key financial and operational targets
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Assist with year-end audits across multiple entities
- Monitor and manage warranty claims and contract cash flows
- Contribute to month-end close activities and margin analysis
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and national security frameworks
- Recommend and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
What you'll bring:
- Recognised accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience in a similar project accounting or commercial finance role
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a small, agile, and high-performing team
- High attention to detail and integrity
