This role is central to ensuring the financial integrity and commercial success of complex, high-value projects that have real-world significance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensure projects are financially sound, with accurate tracking of income, costs, and profitability
  • Deliver key insights into customer profitability and margin performance
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency
  • Provide financial analysis to support and challenge programme office decisions
  • Set, monitor, and report on key financial and operational targets
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Assist with year-end audits across multiple entities
  • Monitor and manage warranty claims and contract cash flows
  • Contribute to month-end close activities and margin analysis
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and national security frameworks
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and automation initiatives

What you'll bring:

  • Recognised accounting qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in a similar project accounting or commercial finance role
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, agile, and high-performing team
  • High attention to detail and integrity
