We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Key Stage 2 with challenging behaviour at a primary school in Rossendale. If you have experience working with children who require tailored support and can bring patience, resilience, and a positive approach to the role, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with challenging behaviour.

  • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans.

  • Help create a calm and supportive classroom environment.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to develop strategies for behaviour management.

  • Monitor and track the pupil's progress and provide regular feedback.

  • Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour, ideally within a school setting.

  • A calm, patient, and understanding approach with the ability to de-escalate situations effectively.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
