Adept Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with a world-renowned manufacturing business, assisting them in their search for a Design Engineer, to join their established team.
As a member of the Design team, you will be designing bespoke solutions for non-standard applications based on their standard product range.
The business are world-ranking specialists in the manufacturing, designing, and distributing precision engineered mechanical products. The company sets new industry standards in performance, reliability, cost and service.
The role:
- Modification of standard products to suit non-standard equipment.
- Bespoke product design, for non-standard applications and equipment
- Design of special test equipment to suit specific applications
- Creation of new stock codes and special bills of materials to aid administration
- Daily liaison with internal and external customers (including end users, sales engineers, and distributors from the UK and overseas)
- Daily liaison with workshops and inspection departments on engineering issues for both standard and special products; solving problems and agreeing concessions
- Assisting the Technical department with special product enquiries
- Providing assistance to the assembly team on testing issues for standard and special products
Required experience:
- Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Alternatively, suitable business/industry experience.
- CAD Literate
- Good attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- IT literate
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to build relationships across numerous departments
