We are recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing provider for a skilled Joiner to join their property maintenance team on a permanent basis. The role involves working across occupied and void properties in South Yorkshire, with a primary focus on replacing and installing fire doors to meet current fire safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and install fire doors in line with fire safety standards.
• Carry out associated joinery tasks such as fitting frames, architraves, and ironmongery.
• Work independently across domestic properties, ensuring a high standard of finish.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and housing staff.
• Use a PDA or job management system to log completed work.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery.
• Proven experience fitting fire doors in residential or social housing settings.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good understanding of fire door installation to meet safety standards.
• Ability to work in occupied homes with professionalism and care.
• DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
