Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from Lead Engineers and Electrical Engineers based in the Yorkshire are interested in joining a market leading materials processing company as Lead Maintenance Engineer.
This is a site-based role where you will coordinate all maintenance activities and lead the engineering teams to deliver effective site maintenance to improve uptime.
Due to the nature of the engineering work required, you will be required to have an electrical bias or a high level of electrical engineering aptitude to assist with executing the diverse range of engineering tasks required of the position.
The role offers 33 days holiday including bank holidays and is 40 hours per week (+ on call support rota).
Role Profile
- Site-based role aimed to provide key ownership and a single point of contact at the site for coordinating all maintenance activities and leading the local engineering teams. This role involves working closely with the production site manager to deliver effective site maintenance to improve uptime on the site.
- Ensuring that teams are deployed to allow for effective, reactive and planned engineering support on site.
- Lead the engineering coordination on site for maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all engineering staff operate safely and to a high standard.
- Ensure that maintenance works carried out by the team are documented as per company requirements (i.e. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) updates/reports, defect reporting, incident reporting, stock and costing updates)
- Support the Maintenance Manager where required with incident and near miss investigations.
- Complete site audits for the engineering area on a weekly basis to aid the improvement of the workshop and stores areas.
- Ensure that all contractors and staff are correctly permitted for their tasks in issuing permits, checking Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), and auditing site activities to improve standards on site, and ensure they are working safely and to documented RAMS.
Desired Profile
- Full clean UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Ideally experience in delivering and overseeing maintenance programmes and driving continuous improvement programmes.
- Must have electrical bias and strong experience conducting engineering maintenance.
- Experience of supervising/managing third party activities in engineering backgrounds.
- Full right to work in UK.
