Pro-Found Recruitment are on look out for an Assembly Operative for our client based in Rotherham.
Assembly Operative Benefits:
- Hours: Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
- Rate of Pay: 12.21 per hour - 40 hours per week
- Hours: 40 hours per week paid weekly
- Start date: ASAP
- Contract: Temporary client requirement
- Location: Rotherham
Assembly Operative Duties:
- Assembling furniture
- Cleaning and wrappying furniture
- Working on assembly / production lines
- Using hand tools
- Quality checking of materials and finished products
- Packing and taping items
- Working with wood/chip board/MDF
- Manual handling and lifting
- Following instructions
- General Housekeeping
- Working on your own and as part of a team
- Working alongside the CNC Operatives lifting wood into machinery
- Minimum daily requirements (production targets)
Assembly Operative Criteria:
- Previous assembly/manufacturing experience - essential
- Experience of operating and using hand tools - essential
- Previous experience assembling furniture - preferred but not essential
- Experience of joinery/carpentry preferred but not essential
- Hard working, reliable and punctual
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work to SOPs
- Good work ethic and prepared to learn new skills
- Team player
- Excellent understanding of health and safety in the workplace
**Please note this is a very physically demanding role and requires regular manual handling as part of the day to day duties**
