Pawson Transport are a family run business based near Rotherham. Due to being awarded a new contract we are looking to recruit HGV class 1 drivers. Various shifts available including part-time.

Some nights out are available.

The ideal candidate will hold a C + E (Class 1) HGV Licence.

  • Knowledge of drivers hours and Work Time Directive
  • Knowledge of tachograph compliance
  • Experience of working within a high-volume customer service environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written

The Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of goods nationwide to customer sites in a timely and professional manner, whilst keeping within relevant legislation for drivers hours and Working Time Directive (WTD).

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure vehicle is loaded safely and correctly
  • Ensure vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and kept clean
  • Delivery of loads on time and in full
  • Maintain Working Time Directive (WTD) records
  • Ability to work on own
  • Complete any necessary paperwork as required
  • Smart appearance
