Mobile Forklift Engineer

I'm recruiting on behalf of a well-established materials handling company looking to add an experienced Mobile Forklift Engineer / Forklift Service Engineer / Field Service Engineer to their South Yorkshire team.

This is a permanent, full-time mobile role, covering a local patch around Rotherham and surrounding areas, offering strong earning potential, excellent benefits, and long-term stability.

The Role

As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklift trucks and materials handling equipment (MHE)
• Attending breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Working on diesel, LPG and electric forklifts
• Fault finding on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
• Covering customer sites across Rotherham and South Yorkshire
• Providing a professional, customer-facing service

• Counterbalance Forklifts
• Reach Trucks
• Pallet Trucks
• Stackers
• Materials Handling Equipment (MHE)

This role would suit someone currently working as a:

• Mobile Forklift Engineer
• Forklift Service Engineer
• Forklift Technician
• Field Service Engineer (Forklifts / MHE)
• Plant Engineer / Mobile Plant Engineer
• Workshop Engineer looking to move into a mobile role

Requirements:

• Experience repairing forklifts or materials handling equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Reliable, professional approach

Salary, Hours & Benefits

• Salary up to 38,000 per year (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
• Company service van and fuel card
• Paid overtime
• 25 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing by 1 day per year up to 30 days (after 12 months' service)
• 5% employer pension contribution after 3 months' service (auto-enrolment)
