About the Role
We are currently working with a client who is seeking a highly experienced Planner with an extensive history in the rail sector to join their team. The ideal planner will support the delivery of rail upgrades in south and west Yorkshire. This is a key role in ensuring the successful planning and coordination of works across signalling, track, and associated disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Interface with engineering, construction, and commercial teams to ensure alignment of plans.
  • Monitor progress and performance against baseline programmes.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Support reporting and stakeholder engagement with clear, data-driven insights.


Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in planning within the UK rail sector (signalling, track, etc).
  • Strong working knowledge of P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites and remotely.
  • PTS certification (desirable but not essential).
