Engineering site operative / General operative
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a civil, mechanical and marine engineering contractor who successfully manage and deliver complex engineering solutions for various infrastructure projects, predominantly in structural movement.
This position will be involved with the installation of engineered solutions on a variety of infrastructure projects in the UK & Ireland, whether that be for a new structure or maintenance and refurbishment of an existing one.
You will have worked on a similar site, assisted and worked around a variety of trades people.
This role is for someone with an engineering or civils/site work background, and is involved with installation and maintenance work on projects throughout the UK.
The role will involve:
- Assisting welders
- Bolting steel
- Concrete working
- Working at height and in confined spaces
CSCS required
Flexibility of working required - you could be working nationally (or internationally) at short notice.
Vehicles, accommodation and subsidence provided
Some of this work may include working nights and weekends as and when required
Rates of pay:
* 14 per hour for first 10 hours a day (Monday to Friday)
* 21 per hour after 10 hours (Monday to Friday) and hours worked during 8pm to 6am on weekday nights and up to midnight on Saturday
* 28 per hour after midnight Saturday through to 6am Monday morning
