Pk Education are recruiting for an ASD Specialist support assistant to work in a specialist school in Rotherham. This is a term time only position, offering consistency, meaningful work, and the chance to change lives every single day. Job spec & Description:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching assistant qualification: Cache level 2 or level 3 diploma in supporting teaching and learning in schools  or equivalent.
- Experience working with ASD in Special schools or similar setting.
- Additional training is an advantage; Autism Awareness, Team Teach, PECS, MAKATON, FIRST AID.
- Must have patience and empathy.
- Good communication, including non-verbal strategies.
- Adaptability
- Understanding of sensory and communication needs.
- Must hold Child and Adult workforce DBS on the subscription service or willing to obtain a new one.
