  • We are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Senior Authorised Person for a role in Royston with a global EPC.
  • This position is on an initial 12-month contract and is outside IR35.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical commissioning and/or high-voltage operations.
  • A salary for this position will be discussed during the interview process.
  • The ideal applicant should also possess a Senior Authorised Person certification for HV systems and a relevant electrical engineering qualification.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Senior Authorised Person to join our team in Royston. This role is with a global EPC, on an initial 12 month contract outside IR35.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the installation contractor for the handover of completed electrical works.
  • Manage and supervise vendor personnel during commissioning activities. Perform electrical isolations and implement Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures for equipment and systems.
  • Witness and/or execute testing of electrical equipment and systems to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for handover to the client, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements:

  • Certified at to 11 Kv
  • Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in electrical commissioning and/or high-voltage operations.
  • Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certification for HV systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including isolations and LOTO.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning of HV/LV equipment and associated control systems.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively on-site.
