Finance Assistant (Temp-to-Perm) - Royston
Robert Half are working exclusively with a globally recognised business based in Royston, currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideally transitioning to permanent after 3 months.

The RoleWorking closely with a supportive and collaborative finance team, you'll be involved in:

High-volume Accounts Payable (AP) processing

Managing a shared AP inbox - strong time management is key

Supporting Accounts Receivable (AR) functions - including cash collection and aged debt review

Month-end (ME) support - mainly handled by the ME lead, but occasional assistance with:

Invoice registration

PO/invoice discrepancy resolution

Opportunity to work on an AP automation project - great exposure to process improvement

Experience in AP and/or AR functions

Confident managing shared inboxes and juggling competing deadlines

Comfortable querying invoice/PO mismatches with internal teams

Proficient with Excel

Can-do attitude, able to work both independently and as part of a team
This role would suit either:? A seasoned finance assistant who enjoys stability and a well-structured workload, or? A junior candidate who's switched on, fast-learning, and eager to gain project exposure
Working Pattern & Culture-
Hybrid model: 3 days in-office (Royston), 2 days WFH

Fridays are remote + earlier finish

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with early finish Friday)

Month-end is a busy period - holidays typically not taken during this time
