~ Residential Support Workers / Children & Adults (SEND) ~

We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers for multiple care settings.

Opportunities are available in:

  • A residential home for young adults aged 18+ with complex needs (SEND)
  • A children's home supporting children and young people with complex needs and autism (SEND)

As a Support Worker, you'll provide care and assistance in a variety of environments including the residential home, school or skills centre, out in the community, and during activities. Your role will be key in helping individuals develop life skills, independence, and confidence in a supportive, person-centred environment.

Location: Royston, SG8.

Annual Salary: £25,729.60 - £28,059.20 per year for a 40 hour week

Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time hours available, minimum 24hrs per week)

Training: Full training provided and once passed probation we will support and fund studying the Level 3 diploma in Health and Social Care.

Purpose of the position:

  • To provide the highest level of care for the young person you are working with, which includes providing for their personal care needs, (which will include washing dressing, moving and positioning, continence care, support with eating and drinking etc.), their social care needs (which will include supporting them to engage in activities they like, either solely or with their peers) and supporting them to attend day activities (school, college, skills centre, outings etc.).
  • To support the person in your care to work to goals identified within Individual Care Plans, and Individual Education Plans.
  • To follow Aurora Meldreth Manor and Orchard Manor policies and procedures at all times.
  • To work and behave in a way that supports the provision of a safe, secure and happy environment for the young people and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • To provide personal care & support in accordance with the individual's needs and preferences as stated in their care and support plan, in a manner which demonstrates dignity and respect at all times.
  • This may involve all aspects of intimate personal care.
  • With training, you will be required to undertake delegated healthcare tasks which include the administration of medication.
