Salary: 21,731 - 33,902 per year (UQT1 - UQT6)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

About the Role

We are currently looking for a passionate and committed Unqualified SEN Teacher to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and is looking to step into a teaching role in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

The school supports learners aged 6-19 with a range of complex needs including PMLD, MLD, SLD, autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, and associated difficulties. Many students also have complex medical and sensory needs, requiring an individualised and therapeutic approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students' individual learning and developmental needs
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing learning environment
  • Support students in overcoming sensory challenges, communication difficulties, and anxiety
  • Participate in personal care routines and physical interventions when required
  • Monitor, assess, and record progress in line with school and national standards

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • An understanding of sensory-led or therapeutic teaching approaches
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience
  • Willingness to undertake training and professional development

Note: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required for this role.
