The Role
As a Quality Inspector Lead, you'll lead the quality assurance and inspection functions across multiple sites. Managing a team of Quality Inspectors, you'll oversee inspection processes, ensure ISO compliance, and maintain exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead inspection of precision components using CMM and other metrology equipment
- Manage daily operations within the Quality Department and inspection team
- Validate inspection reports and maintain traceable documentation
- Maintain calibration systems and ensure compliance with ISO and internal standards
- Analyse quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Must be able to commute to Leicestershire site, couple of times a month, mileage will be claimed back.
About You:
- Experience in precision engineering or manufacturing quality management
- Strong knowledge of inspection processes and CMM operation
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
- Excellent attention to detail and structured approach to work
- Team player with strong communication and leadership skills
Licences / Certifications (desirable):
- ISO / Quality management training
- CE / UKCA compliance training (or willingness to complete)
