Main Duties
Provide leadership and direction to the inspection team.
Oversee training and performance evaluation of inspection personnel.
Ensure robust adherence to AS9100 quality assurance standards.
Support Quality Manager in reviewing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
Program and operate Mitutoyo Crysta Apex CMMs using MCOSMOS software.
Inspect precision machined components using CMM, scanners, and first principles methods.
Conduct thorough inspections of in-process and final products to ensure conformance.
Develop and maintain inspection plans and work procedures.
Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain accurate documentation, test records and quality metrics.
Collaborate with engineering, production and procurement to resolve quality issues.
Support internal and external audits and certification compliance efforts.
Other Responsibilities
Promote and support the development of a positive Health & Safety culture.
Provide support to other section leaders when needed.
Communicate key business updates to the team as directed.
Promote best practice and process discipline in all tasks.
Continue personal and professional development in inspection and quality.
Key Skills, Knowledge & Personal Attributes
Thorough understanding of AS9100:2016 Rev D quality management standards.
Proficient in Mitutoyo CMM programming using MCOSMOS Version 5.
Strong grasp of engineering drawings, tolerances and materials specifications.
Background in precision engineering and component inspection.
High diligence in record-keeping and documentation.
Good IT skills with a strong command of Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Good organization, prioritization and multi-tasking abilities.
Detail-oriented with a structured and proactive work approach.
Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement.
