Position: Butcher

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift: 06:00 – 15:00
Temporary to Permanent role after 12 week assignment.
A well-established food production business in Rugby is currently seeking two skilled butchers to join their growing meat and poultry team. This company provides a tailored butchery service with full traceability, supplying a wide range of products including Red Tractor assured, halal, imported, and free-range meat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and cutting meat and poultry products to customer specifications (boning, trimming, tying, grinding, etc.)
- Ensuring high standards of quality, consistency, and traceability
- Packing products according to company guidelines
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the work area in line with food safety procedures
- Proper storage of meat products including cold storage handling
- Supporting customer order fulfilment and managing stock effectively
- Minimising waste and working cost-efficiently
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of hands-on butchery experience
- Excellent knife skills and a strong understanding of different meat cuts
- Industry-recognised qualifications in butchery or food processing (preferred)
- High attention to detail with good time management and organisational skills
- Adaptable and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
