Area Sales Manager

Home-based with UK travelNegotiable + commission

Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Macildowie are working with a leading client based in Rugby. An established leader in the engineering sector is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales across a key UK region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts, ensuring strong relationships and repeat business
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Organise and conduct customer demonstrations at company premises
  • Attend industry exhibitions to represent the company and generate leads
  • Provide technical guidance and prepare detailed quotations and sales documentation
  • Negotiate and close sales to meet or exceed targets
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records
  • Support marketing efforts through PR, direct marketing, and social media initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record in capital equipment sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Personable with a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and other sales-related social media platforms
  • Engineering qualification (HNC or equivalent)
