Job Title: Site Engineer Earthworks & Highways
Location: Rugby & Towcester (Site-Based)
Salary: £30,000 £45,000 + Package

We are working with a leading billion-pound civil engineering contractor seeking a Site Engineer to join their expanding infrastructure division. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on multi-million-pound flagship highways and earthworks projects in Rugby and Towcester.
You'll join a business known for delivering some of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure schemes in the UK with a strong focus on innovation, safety, and development.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the day-to-day engineering of large-scale earthworks and highways sites
Set out, level, and survey the site using GPS and total stations
Ensure that all materials, work, and site activities comply with technical drawings and specifications
Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors, and the design team
Maintain accurate records including QA checks, as-builts, and site diaries
Support the site management team in health & safety, risk assessments, and method statements
Competitive salary: £30,000 £45,000 DOE

Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Previous experience working on earthworks, highways, or heavy civils sites
Proficiency in setting out using GPS/robotic total stations
Strong understanding of site health & safety practices
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
