CNC Miller - Programmer/Setter/Operator
We are looking for areliable, skilled CNC Millerto join our client's small team of precision machinists at a well-established reputable precision engineering company based in Rugby. This position would suit someone who ispassionate about CNC machining with the possibility of progressing further for the right person when the current owners retire.
The company is managed and owned by fully skilled apprentice trained machinists, they supply high quality CNC machined components to the following industries:
Motor Sport F1 / GT & Rally Components.
Medical Equipment & Instrumentation.
Data Acquisition Equipment.
Defence Engineering.
Automation & Process Control Equipment.
Automotive Manufacturing.
Robotics.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am - 4.00pm) and Friday (7.30am - 3.00pm) - Full time, permanent (39 hours per week + occasional overtime).
Pay/Salary: 17.50 - 18.50per hour (Dpending on experience & abilities)
The Role:
- Program, set, and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines
- Working on Fanuc & Siemens controls
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to BS / ISO standards
- Complete 1st off, prove out and inspection
- Meet production deadlines
- Quality Inspection of parts using micrometres, verniers and gauges etc.
- Working independently and as part of a team.
- Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate.
The Candidate:
- Skilled in programming, setting, and operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines and toolingusing precision measurement equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of material grades, outwork processes and geometric tolerancing.
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- A keen eye for detail and good communication abilities.
- Ability to plan and work from own initiative.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
- Have a great work ethic, a flexible approach and good attitude.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Able to work to tight deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved
- Willing to work occasional overtime, sometimes at short notice.
- Motivated and an excellent team player.
- Full understanding of ISO9001 procedures
