Job Description


Clarence Recruitment are seeking a reliable and proactive Science Technician to support the Science department in a secondary school in Rugby. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong interest in science education to play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the department.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to prepare practical lessons, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure a safe and well-organised learning environment for students.



Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare equipment, materials, and resources for science lessons

  • Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

  • Maintain, clean, and safely store laboratory equipment

  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

  • Manage stock levels and assist with ordering supplies

  • Support teachers and students during practical activities


Requirements

  • Experience working in a school science department or laboratory environment (desirable)

  • A background or qualification in a science-related subject (desirable)

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures in a laboratory setting
