Electrical Commissioning Engineer - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Travel Allowance + Overtime - West Midlands (With site travel)

The Situation
A specialized global engineering firm that supply industrial and heavy engineering industries are looking to expand their UK engineering capabilities.

Due to continued growth and project demands, they require a Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) to deliver their expertise on: powerups, testing, configuring, programming & more.

This role will be well suited to those with strong experience working with Siemens TIA Portal

The Role
The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery on control systems across various project sites. You will play a key role in developing and improving commissioning processes and be the go to person in the team for all relevant activities.

You will ensure that complex systems and equipment are correctly installed, tested, and fully operational before being handed over for use, acting as a technical bridge between design, construction, and operation. In short, you will act as the final gatekeeper of quality and safety on their projects, ensuring the lifting systems can and will operate safely.

Location & Travel Requirements:

This role will be project site based c.80% of the time. Most suitable locations are:

West Midlands OR
NE of England (North Yorkshire).

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 p/annum
  • Car Allowance: £250p/month
  • Holidays: 30 days + 8 bank holidays
  • 10% Site Enhancements
  • Daily allowance when on project site
  • Overtime – Widely available

Essential Criteria

  • Proficient in Siemens Control Systems  (Program, commission, test, configure etc)
  • Experience with Siemens TIA Portal
  • Eplan experience or using something similar
  • Experience working in regulated and or Heavy Industrial industries

Desirable Experience 

  • Good Mechanical Engineering/ Hydraulics knowledge
  • Hydraulic Schematic or fault-finding experience
