Requirements:
- Tech/A level Chemistry / A level Biology / Food Technology Qualification
- Experience working in microbiology lab (minimum 6 months)
- Understanding the concepts of microbial testing
Responsibilities:
As a Food Safety Micro Specialist, you will:
- Support the running of the microbiological laboratory and ensure it is operating to standard
- Provide data, support and advice to the Site Operations Teams to improve decision making regarding quality and food safety issues
- Support compiling reports for weekly meetings and sharing actions to follow up
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Replenishment of chemical/microbial media on daily basis
- Complete stock take reports and create minimum order requirements
- General laboratory procedures and housekeeping
- Contribution in continuous improvement/problem solving
- Support 5S standards
