We're recruiting on behalf of Rugby Borough Council for a Risk Management and Insurance Officer to lead and develop their corporate risk and insurance function. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Council's risk management strategy and embed best practice across all departments
* Manage the full insurance portfolio, including claims handling and renewals

* Maintain the Strategic Risk Register and ensure alignment with corporate priorities
* Deliver training and promote a strong risk-aware culture
* Liaise with senior managers, committees, and external partners on risk and insurance matters
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in public sector risk and insurance
* Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and performance frameworks
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to lead change and embed risk culture across an organisation
