  • Supporting the Purchasing Manager by raising purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and ensuring best quality, price, and lead times across production, R&D, and ad hoc requirements.
  • Monitoring and managing supplier performance, delivery schedules, and shortages; proactively chasing delays and sourcing alternative suppliers to minimise disruption to production.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier databases, pricing, and specifications in real time; assisting in stock take preparations and reporting activities.
  • Handling returns and supplier issues, resolving invoice discrepancies, and reporting quality or delivery performance concerns for continuous supplier improvement.
  • Participating in cost-saving initiatives, negotiating favourable terms, and supporting strategic buying plans to align with production forecasts and business goals.
Assistant BuyerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a relevant procurement or purchasing role.
  • Proven experience of working closely with suppliers and negotiating pricing, quality, and delivery.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge specifically Excel.
