Poolhall Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading precision engineering business in Rugby to find an experienced Senior Quality Inspector to lead their inspection team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving world-class quality standards in a high-performing AS9100-accredited environment.
The RoleReporting to the Quality Manager and Managing Director, you will lead the day-to-day activities of the inspection team and quality lab. Youll be responsible for upholding rigorous quality assurance processes across all production operations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement throughout.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor the inspection team; oversee training and performance.
Program and operate Mitutoyo Crysta Apex CMMs using MCOSMOS V5.
Inspect precision machined components using CMM, scanners, and first-principles methods.
Support internal audits and maintain AS9100:2016 Rev D compliance.
Develop inspection plans and standard operating procedures.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain detailed documentation and quality metrics.
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement teams.
Proven leadership experience in a quality inspection or quality engineering role.
Expert in Mitutoyo CMM and MCOSMOS programming.
Strong working knowledge of AS9100:2016 Rev D.
Precision engineering background with excellent attention to detail.
Solid understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and materials.
High standard of record-keeping and documentation.
IT proficient, especially with Microsoft Excel.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Proactive, solution-focused, and passionate about continuous improvement.
