About the Role

As an Electrical/Mechanical Operator, you'll play a key role in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of high-performance laser systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of photonics, contributing to products used in aerospace, scientific research, and industrial applications worldwide.



Key Responsibilities

  • You will need to be able to carry out soldering and crimping
  • Assemble and wire complex electro-mechanical systems to engineering specifications
  • Perform mechanical fitting, soldering, and cable routing
  • Conduct functional testing and fault-finding on laser systems
  • Maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness in a cleanroom environment
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes


What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in an electrical or mechanical assembly role (ideally in a high-tech or precision environment)
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset


Desirable Qualifications

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Experience with laser systems or optical assemblies (a plus, not essential)
