Two Exciting Roles Available in School
EYFS - 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Provide 1:1 support to a child in Reception with Down's Syndrome and ASD. The child has an EHCP and requires consistent, nurturing support to develop communication and access the EYFS curriculum through play. You'll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and ensure progress.
Reception/Nursery - Blended Support Role
Split between Nursery and Reception, this position involves general classroom support in Nursery and targeted assistance for two Reception pupils with EHCPs (Down's Syndrome and ASD, non-verbal). You'll promote engagement and social interaction through structured play and communication-focused activities.
We're Looking for Candidates Who:
Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD, Down's Syndrome, or communication needs
Feel confident working within EYFS or KS1, using play-based learning approaches
Can adapt strategies to meet individual EHCP targets
Are patient, nurturing, and consistent in their support
Communicate effectively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Hold a relevant qualification (CACHE Level 2/3, TA Certificate, or Early Years/Psychology degree) - although strong experience is equally valued
