Your new roleSEN Teacher - Early Years & KS1 (Complex Needs & ASD) - September StartAre you an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher with expertise in Early Years and KS1 education? Do you have the skills to support children with complex needs, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing challenges, and communication difficulties?We are looking for a full-time teacher to join our specialist complex needs school in September, providing tailored learning experiences for young children in a supportive and inclusive setting. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils who require a nurturing and structured approach to education.Your Role:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Early Years and KS1 curriculum, ensuring accessibility for all learners.
  • Create a sensory-friendly classroom environment that supports students with sensory processing needs.
  • Implement a variety of communication strategies, including Makaton, PECS, and AAC, to enhance student interaction and engagement.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to provide holistic support tailored to each child's needs.
  • Monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to ensure individual development and success.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, ASD, sensory challenges, and communication difficulties.
  • Strong knowledge of Early Years and KS1 curriculum, with the ability to differentiate learning effectively.
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
